With bad weather the Butler Boys Tennis team hosted the Raiders of Seneca Valley indoors at Lakevue Athletic Club for a spectacular section showdown. Seneca Valley's depth and experience showed through with two definitive wins at doubles. The matches were a lot closer in score for the singles players. Both 2nd and 3rd singles matches went to 6 games each in the first set, resulting in a tie break to determine the set. The senior James Walter (German exchange student at Butler) won his tiebreaker game first to give him the set. He quickly won the second set to secure the match for 3rd singles.

Butler's Ben Busler (Senior) won his tiebreak as well as his second set to win his match. With two wins for each team, the match would be determined by the outcome of the first singles match between Butler's Andrew Bocci (Junior), and Seneca Valley's Michael deVyver (Senior). Bocci won a tight first set but struggled in the second set, giving deVyver a tying score. It all came down to the 3rd and final set. Games went back and forth at the start of the 3rd set. After playing for 3 hours, Bocci won the set, the singles match, and secured the team win for Butler. This the first time Butler has beat Seneca Valley since Coach Walsh took over the program in 2021.
