The Butler High Golden Tornado Bowling team finished their regular season last night.

The girls team fished the season undefeated at 10-0 by beating New Castle 5-2.

Makenzie Zimmerman had another great week shooting a 566 series (210-186-170).

Kaylee Kriess had a 211 game and Emma Schultz shot a 174 and Julie Black with a 189.

The girls’ team has qualified for the playoffs and the Regional Championships with a chance to make it to states.

In the singles portion the Tornado girls have 5 players qualifying for the singles championships.

Makenzie Zimmerman, Kaylee Kniess, Julia Black, Emma Schultz, and Lacy Edgington.

On the boys’ side the Butler team gave New Castle their first defeat of the season. They came into the match 9-0 and Butler won the match 7-0 finishing 8-2 for the season.

Butler finishes second in the section behind New Castle and qualified for the playoffs due to the second-place finish in the section.

The Tornado boys were led again by a very strong performance by Senior Greg Wilbert with a 719 series (232-247-240).

Also bowling well for the boys was Freshman David Fisher with a 609 series (192-236-181) And Max Walker with a 201 game.

Butler boys have also qualified 5 bowlers for the singles portion championships.

Greg Wilbert, Micah Potts, Connor St Clair, David Shever and Daytn Kriess.

Boys team playoffs start next Wednesday and the Girls next Thursday. With singles the following Wednesday (boys) and Thursday (girls).
