The Butler Cross Country teams traveled to Hershey on Friday for Saturday’s PIAA Foundation Invitational and came away with some very nice results. In the rain and mud of the Hershey Park XC Course. The girls finished in 17th place out of 42 teams - led by Ava Brewster in 35th place running 20:46. She was followed by the personal best runs of: Makayla McLister 21:17, Madison McGarrah 21:24, and Elizabeth Keffalas 22:37. I’ve added team and individual results below. The boys weren’t out done by the girls as they finished strong 8th of 41 teams from all of PA. Highlighted by the fact they were the number two team from the WPIAL. (The NA Boys finished 3rd overall). The boys were led by Drew Griffiths’ (15:48) 46 second AAA Victory over the field of 301 finishers. The races were wet and muddy as rain started at 7:00am at peaked as the boys running in the 6th race of the day took to the course that was like a slip ‘n slide on the down hills. Again I’ve attached more results and some pictures of Drew & the boys & girls highlighting how wet & muddy it was.
