BIGTEAMS STUDENT/PARENT ATHLETIC REGISTRATION GUIDE


 

Dear Parents/Guardians, 

 

 

Welcome.  Below are requirements for participating in the Butler Athletics Program.  All requirements must be complete by NOVEMBER 13, 2024 in order to tryout or participate.

 

 


INSTRUCTIONS FOR STUDENTS WHO PLAYED OR TRIED OUT FOR A FALL SPORT THIS SCHOOL YEAR:

 

  • Register Online – Go to goldentornado.org and click on the “Winter 2024 REGISTER NOW!” icon located in the top right hand corner of the Butler Athletics website.  Once logged in, complete the Section 7: Recertification by Parent/Guardian form.  Both the parent and the student will need to digitally sign the form.  Follow the step-by-step instructions posted on the Athletic Office website, or to go directly to them CLICK HERE.

 

INSTRUCTIONS FOR STUDENTS WHO DID NOT PLAY OR TRY OUT FOR A FALL SPORT:

Prior to any student participating in Practices, Inter-School Practices, Scrimmages, and/or Contests at any sport/team in the Butler Athletic Program, the legal parent(s)/guardian(s) of the student-athlete is required to complete the following:

 

  • Register Online – Go to goldentornado.org and click on the “REGISTER NOW!” icon located in the top right hand corner of the Butler Athletics website to begin the registration process.  Follow the step-by-step instructions posted on the Athletic Office website, or to go directly to them CLICK HERE.

 

  • Physical Forms -  The Health History form (Section 5) needs completed in its entirety and provided to the Authorized Medical Examiner performing the student-athlete's physical for review.  The Physical Evaluation form (Section 6) is to be completed, signed and dated by the Authorized Medical Examiner (AME) performing the student-athlete's physical. *Please note that the physical must be performed and dated on or after MAY 1, 2024 and is effective until the latter of the next April 30th or the conclusion of the Spring sports season.  Click HERE to download the physical forms.

 

  • Payment of Athletic Fee - One $85.00 payment per school year per athlete.  You may make payment online when completing the online registration, or mail in/hand in directly to the Athletic Office.  Mailing address: Butler Senior High School  Attn: Athletic Office, 120 Campus Lane, Butler, PA 16001.

 

  • ImPACT Test – All student-athletes participating in a contact sport must have a valid ImPACT test on file with the Athletic Trainer’s office prior to the first official practice or tryout.  ImPACT Tests are valid for a period of two years.  NO ATHLETE PARTICIPATING IN A CONTACT SPORT WILL BE PERMITTED TO TRYOUT OR PRACTICE UNLESS THIS IS COMPLETE.  ImPACT Testing Dates are/will be located on the Butler Athletic Office website at goldentornado.org.
