Belch and McCue Qualify for States!

Butler high school bowlers Mercedes Belch and Ashley McCue qualified for the Pennsylvania State Championships by finishing within the top 12 of 86 bowlers during the Western Regional championships in Pittsburgh Friday. Belch averaged 188 in qualifying 4th overall and McCue averaged 187 and qualified 5th. McCue fell in the first round shootout of the championship step-ladder. Belch lost in the quarterfinals by one pin. The Regional championship was won by Shannon Small of Plum. The state championships will be held next weekend in Pittsburgh.
