Butler Bowling Program Achievements – 2018-2019 Season:

 

  • Butler Boys and Girls teams finished 9-1 overall and were co-champions of the North Section of the Western Pennsylvania Interscholastic Bowling League (WPIBL).
  • The Butler Boys went 66-4 overall in ten matches. Nine of their ten weeks were 7-0 sweeps.
  • The Butler Girls went 64-6 overall in ten matches. Eight of their ten weeks were 7-0 sweeps.
  • The Butler Girls finished with the third-highest WPIBL Team average.
  • Butler senior Jordyn Graham had the highest girls average in the North Section at 188.23 and was named Section MVP. She had the highest series in the section with a 670.
  • Jordyn Graham also made the All-WPIBL girls Second Team. She had the highest game in the league during the season with a 279.
  • Butler senior Jordan Reges was the second-highest boys average in the North Section at 198.53 and was named Section MVP. He had the second-highest boys section series with 699.
  • The Butler Girls went on to finish runner-up in the WPIBL Team championships. (Butler fell to Burrell 2-1 in the championship roll-off.)
  • At the WPIBL Girls Singles Championships – sophomore Reegan Malis finished third overall and was named to the All-WPIBL Tournament team.
  • Both Butler teams also qualified for the Western Pennsylvania Regional Team Championships. The Butler Girls finished seventh overall, one spot from a state qualifier.
  • Butler sent six bowlers to the Western Pennsylvania Regional Singles Championships. (three boys – Chris Huff, Jordan Reges and Cole Thrash / three girls—Lauren Bash, Reegan Malis and Jordyn Graham).
  • Two of the bowlers advanced to the Pennsylvania State High School Bowling Championships. Jordan Reges finished 13th overall, and was the fifth-highest boy from Western Pa. Jordyn Graham finished 23rd in the state on the girls side.
